Coming soon!

picture-3.jpg

I’ve been working HARD on updating my website and adding some fun new products and even a separate wedding site. Yes, that’s right Cindy Mills Photography is now officially booking weddings for 2008 and 2009…….we’ll even book for 2010, but I doubt anyone is planning that far ahead!

I’ll be updating the blog frequently in the coming weeks so watch for these exciting things:

  • relaunch of updated website with ALL NEW (or mostly ALL new) images
  • launch of CMP weddings site (will link from homepage)
  • announcement of some new products (I know you can’t wait to hear about these)
  • Info on Valentine’s mini-sessions
  • pictures from my Christmas vacation :)

So check back often, because there are lots of exciting things going on in 2008!

If I were a little girl this would be my perfect day.

Yesterday my friend Jill and I took the girls (aka Mia and Michaela) to the mall to see Santa. Mia has been PATIENTLY waiting to see him. She has been asking for a pet shop and I told her that she wouldn’t get it unless we went and told Santa what she wants for Christmas. She did so great. Last year she just cried and cried when we saw Santa at our church Christmas party.

Mia didn’t smile for the camera, but I bought a picture anyway. I always try to support other photographers. ;)  They are so nice at this particular mall that they allow you to take pictures with your own camera too! Here is what I got:

By the way I think that this may be the REAL Santa. Doesn’t he look great!

Notice how tightly Mia is clutching her puppy. She won’t go anywhere without ruff-ruff! She won’t even let me wash him……GROSS!

After see the big guy we headed to the food court where I stood in line for no less than 30 minutes to purchase a $6 tortilla wrap that tasted really good, but was so small that there is no way it would fill ANYONE up. Let’s just say that I don’t recommend RollerZ as a place to get lunch when your stomach has been grumbling for the last hour. It’s kind of the place you want to go when you are not hungry at all, but it’s time to eat so you just have to get SOMETHING. Who knew the mall would be so busy on a Tues. It was CROWDED. So we ate lunch and then the girls got to ride on the carousel. I told you it was a perfect day for a little girl.

I just have to share this next one because it shows the emotion I would feel if I was three years and riding a carousel after having seen Santa and having Chick-fil-A for lunch.

Anyway after the carousel we went to the indoor playground which was about to be closed for cleaning so we took the girls to K.B. Toys to look around while we waited and then back to the playground. It was a fun day!!! I’m so glad that Mia and I have such great friends to hang out with. We are very blessed!

Mia: Mommy, how are we going to get to Christmas?

Mommy:  What do you mean?

Mia: Because Christmas is a long, long way away.

Another beautiful baby boy.

Cold and wet. That is how I would describe Monday. Even though the fog was so thick you could cut it with a knife we still managed to have a great newborn session with little Mr. Dallas. Initially when his mom said she would like to have a picture of all three of her kids I groaned inside. You NEVER know how kids are going to be with a camera. Are they going to run away? Are they going to give me the cheesy smile that really just looks like they have gas and not like they are happy? This could be hard! Instead, this session was a dream. The girls were beautiful and thrilled to have their pictures taken. They even smiled like they were seasoned models. NO cheesy smiles in a hundred miles. Little Dallas was just as sweet as he could be and was very patient with me. It was a very successful session and I had a great time. Now on to the pictures:

Stephanie, your kids are precious. I can’t wait to show you the rest of these and take some more in the future!! Enjoy. :)

Sweet Nick.

Monday, December 10th, 2007

Last week we finally got around to taking the newborn photos of my dear friend Jill’s sweet baby Nick.  It was a long afternoon.  Especially for big sister who was NOT interested in having her pictures taken.  She just wanted to play with her friend Mia who got to come along for the ride.  We beg and pleaded (and with some help from her daddy) and got a few, but the one I’m showing is my favorite.  I’m sure that Jill won’t like it as much as I do since Nick is crying and Michaela is not looking at the camera, but I love how she looks so concerned about her crying brother.

Oh Christmas Tree.

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

So we finally got our Christmas tree today.  It was the fastest I have EVER picked a tree out in my whole life!  We looked at no more than 3 trees and found the one for us.  Easy!  Mia was excited and brought her puppy along to help.  Here it is:

Windy session.

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

That was the hardest thing about this session. The wind. I was afraid it would blow one of us into the canal! We managed to survive and even got some great pictures. With the exception of the wind this was a really fun session. See if you can guess which is my favorite. :)
