This may be pushing the boundaries of what a mother is allowed to do.
January 29, 2008But she will think it is funny when she has a child of her own to potty train. At least I HOPE Mia forgives me for this.

So that is what we have been doing at the Mills house lately. Every 5 minutes is potty time! I am seriously OVER it! Mia has been making good progress, but she is still in diapers at night and when we leave the house. Also, every morning it is like WWII to get her to put the panties on. I know it is something that HAS to be done, but why do I have to do it? I am sick of buying, and for that matter, CHANGING diapers so every morning I am prepared for battle!
Please pray that it is over soon and the casualties are few. Amen.

This I am SURE she will not forgive me for, but I’m going to share it anyway:
Said this morning while going TT in the potty:
“mommy, listen…….it’s raining!”

Cara: Scotty was horrible to potty train too. Something about those stubborn firstborns...not that WE would know, just through our kids. Right? Cacie was much easier, and then Andy potty trained himself. I'm dead serious. He wanted to be like his big brother and use the potty, so when he was about 2 1/2 he just did it. I'm looking forward to all three of them potty training Kimi just after she starts walking, hahaha! There are pictures of me on the potty too but I was naked. Nekkid. The kids think it's hilarious. I remember with Cacie when she got to wearing pull-ups at night, they had Disney Princesses on them (so they were her Princess Panties, NOT diapers) and we'd tell her not to TT on the princesses. Her eyes got really big. We'd ask, are you a princess? she'd say yes. would you like it if somebody tt'd on you? nooooo. okay then, you be sure and don't tt on them okay? okay. And she only had a couple of little accidents, and then we were done. Oh, another trick is when you can tell she doesn't need them anymore, to tell her that when you finish this package/when these are all gone, you have to wear big girl panties all the time because there aren't any more diapers (or pull ups, whichever you're using). The store doesn't have them anymore. That worked too. Hmm. You didn't' ask, did you? not sure why I started spilling my guts, except that your post brought back memories. : ) Have fun listening to the rain! Cara
