Saturday I headed north to Celina to meet the Davis Grandkids.  They were a ball!  Their Nana’s house is amazing.  It looks like a red barn.  So we took advantage of the beautiful day and perfect red backdrop…..and a bale of hay to get some great photos of these six fun kiddos.

We started off with the youngest and she was the sweetest little thing.  I could have photographed her ALL day!

Then big brother had his chance.

I wish I had this much energy. :)  This little guy was so funny.  He kept me giggling!

Next I spent a little time with their cousins.  The oldest grandchild and his sister with the most beautiful skin I’ve ever seen!  Typical brother and sister acted like they didn’t want to be close, but I could tell they love each other!

I told you she had great skin! Oh to be 4 again!

Then the last two.  I had fun with these two.  The youngest was thrilled to sit in the hay as long as I wanted.  I loved their outfits and they just looked like a Tommy Hilfiger ad!

Last but not least all the kids together supporting their Grandpa’s alma mater.  I had a blast with the whole family on Saturday. Can’t wait to do it again!

I’ve just realized that I have the most good looking clients in the world!  Just take a look at this family.  Georgeous!  5 yr. old Connor was not thrilled with having his picture taken, but I’m sneaky and got some great ones of him anyway. ;)  Hannah, with her beautiful Nicole Kidman red hair, should totally be a model!  She had it down.  I didn’t even direct her.  She just posed away!  We met up at Prairie Creek park in Richardson.  It’s beautiful with a waterfall and more!  Of course, since it is Christmas Card photo season it was NUTS.  There were so many people and photographers and it you weren’t careful you were in danger of being blinded by reflectors from every side.  We survived it though and here are just a few of my favorite images that we managed to get in the midst of all that busyness.  You would think there was not another soul at the park from the look of these photos, but believe me…..it was PACKED!

And this one……I just LOVE!!!!

On Saturday I met with 3 adorable, georgeous, cute cousins. Seriously, it’s not fair to have this many beautiful kids in ONE family!!  First up was cutie 2 1/2 yr. old Payton. Her mommy made her shirt. I LOVE it!

Then while Payton went to change into her formal clothes her cousins had their turn in front of my camera. This brother and sister were some of the easiest models I’ve had in quite awhile. Emily and Alex didn’t even have fake, cheesy smiles when I asked them to smile. What kid DOESN’T have a cheesy, fake smile? They made my job a breeze!

I love her smile with her eyes squinched (is that a word?). She was the CUTEST little thing. She didn’t love looking at the camera, but when she heard there may be candy involved she was more than happy to keep on smiling for me.

This one was pure luck. I looked back as we were walking to our next location and saw this. I didn’t even have time to reset my camera. Thank goodness I shoot in RAW!!

I had so much fun with the cousins. Please, please call me again! Anytime!! Really!!!!

I headed over to The Bogan’s beautiful home on Sunday evening to get some family portraits for them. They just had an outdoor kitchen built in their backyard and it is awesome. I would love to have something like this in my backyard one day. It was a perfect place for their family portraits! We were going to build a fire in the fireplace, but I think everyone decided it was just too HOT! That’s Texas for you.

The littlest Bogan. She was not that thrilled with me, but I got some good ones of her anyway!

For this one I asked my model to look at my camera and not smile. I kept saying “whatever you do DON’T smile.” It worked like a charm. Look at the little giggle working it’s way out!

I have definitely entered the heart of the family Christmas portrait season! I have begun making lists to keep track of my to do lists. I will survive though and when we come out on the other side I will have met tons of new friends and made some great images for these families. That’s my Christmas wish

Here is a fun family that I had the honor of spending time with on Saturday morning. We headed down to one of my favorite locations. The Mandalay canal in Los Colinas.

It was requested that I get mostly shots of their son and I was more than happy to oblige because this boy had the most BEAUTIFUL, sparkly blue eyes that I’ve ever seen. He is going to be a heartbreaker one day!

Told you he was a cutie!!!! Of course, we had to get some good ones of the whole family too!

I had a quick and painless mini-session on Saturday. This is one of my favorite families. They are repeat clients and I am really getting to know the girls. I think they are getting used to me and my big obnoxious camera too!

We did these to get some images for their Christmas cards and I think they are going to work perfectly!

We met at The Harbor in Rockwall. It was going to be a fun evening! We got a slow start since little Sarah was not thrilled with me and my camera. She warmed up after a trip to Harbor Girl and then we were READY for some fun photos. Special thanks to the owner of Harbor Girl for letting us cool off and change in your store. I hear they host fabulous birthday parties there! They even have a very girlie stage for Karaoke!

While Mom and Sarah did last minute hair touch-ups I got started with Dad and adorable little Jason.

The awesome fountain at The Harbor makes a great backdrop! It kind of reminds me of the one in the opening credits of “Married with Children.” Remember that show? Ha ha ha. This family however DOES NOT remind me of that show!!!!

Georgeous evening light bouncing off of the lake. It was a PERFECT evening for portraits…..except for the heat. You would never know it by this picture though!

You might recognize this cutie patootie from a previous session I did with her family back in March.
This time we stayed at the house and little Mia (that’s right same beautiful name as my little one) and I had a GREAT time playing and taking a few portraits of her as a big TWO year old. She was just the perfect little model and did just about everything I asked her too…….which any of you that have a two year old know does NOT happen very often. I know her mom and dad are dying to see some so here are my favorites…….well, so far anyway. It was hard to choose.

So if I had to pick between this one and the next one as a favorite we would be here ALL day….maybe all week. I LOVE them both!!
