On Thurs. evening I had the honor of capturing the last moments of a young man before he officially left the nest.  Kevin was headed to begin his college career the next morning and I was truly honored to document the moment for his sweet mom.  I wish him the best at OC!  With a personality like the awesome one he has that boy, (I mean young man) is going to do great!  Some of you may know that I used to teach high school and believe it or not not EVERY teenager is pleasant to be around, but Kevin certainly is!    The moment wouldn’t have been complete without some photos of Sam, Kevin’s younger brother, he was a trooper and quite the model too!  It was a joy to capture these two guys laughing and smiling and enjoying each others company. I can’t help but smile as I look at these photos.   I hope that these photos will always bring a smile to Kevin and Sam’s parents faces too!

Friday was HOT!  REALLY HOT!  Brianna just contributed to the heat as she rocked out her Senior Portraits!  Believe or not this awesome teen is NOT a model.  Seriously!  I promise!  As a matter of fact she swore this was the first time she had taken any professional photos.  Brianna was a natural in front of the camera was a total blast to shoot.  She was up for anything and got super excited when I suggested we shoot in the lot with the tall weeds and front end loader.  Now that is my type of client!

I knew we were going to have an amazing shoot when she started off the session in these awesome heels!

Clouds heavy with rain are not what you want to see on the morning of an outdoor wedding.  I was only a little worried, because I knew even if we had to move indoors it was still going to be a beautiful wedding.  God was smiling on us on Sunday because not only did it NOT rain, it turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of the year!  A nice warm (but not hot), sunny, gorgeous, Texas day in the country.  Usually a wedding is a bit of a stressful event.  There is almost always an important item that goes missing or someone is late and panic ensues.  At the very least the day falls behind schedule.  THIS was NOT one of those stressful events.  As a matter of fact Abby and Jason’s perfect day was probably the most relaxing, laid back wedding I’ve ever attended as a photographer.  Everyone there was relaxed and blissfully happy!

I had a very hard time narrowing down to just a few images for the blog so pull up a chair, sit back and enjoy!

Congratulations Abby and Jason!  Thank so much for making me and Saylor a part of your important day.  Hope you have a great time in Colorado!

Yesterday I got to hang out with Abby and Jason and capture some engagement photos of the two.  I loved getting to know them both and can not WAIT for their wedding in May.  It’s going to be a beautiful one!  We did Abby’s bridal portraits last weekend and I’m dying to share some of those, but they will have to wait until after the wedding.

The wind was brutal and it was a warm one.  Today….cold again.  This Texas weather is killing me!  Mia is outgrowing her winter clothes and it’s still too cold for shorts and skirts.  Anyway, where was I?  Oh yeah….Abby and Jason.  Such a cute couple.  Thanks guys you were a blast!  Can’t wait until May!

One of my favorite engagement images of all time.....EVER!

I JUST got home from lunch with a dear friend of mine from high school.  We met a little early and squeezed in a quick mini-session of her son beforehand.  Houston is just the CUTEST little thing.  I am in love!  Mia has a little crush on Houston too.  She loves to make him laugh and she’s pretty good at it.  Better than her mommy and the giant camera anyway.

Despite the high winds today we managed to get some precious photos of Houston.  Here are my favorites so far!

I had so much fun with Amberlee and Ryan on Saturday.  They are exactly the kind of clients I LOVE to work with.  They were up for anything and they loved (well at least Amberlee did :)  ) when I did crazy stuff like climb up on a scaffolding to get just the right angle on a photo.   We found some cool, new little nooks in downtown McKinney.  This is definitely a favorite session of mine!

Oh….did I forget to mention Maggie, their adorable dog?  Isn’t she the cutest?

I just can’t say enough about this wonderful couple.  They are so fun and thoughtful.  I love clients that make Saylor and I feel like we are part of the family and Maria and Christian definitley did that. Thanks so much to both of you for making us feel so special!

I could go on all day about these two, but I’ll just let you see their personalities shine through the photos……..are you ready?  Grab a drink and get comfy because this is going to take awhile.

Oh how I wish I could tell you how fun this couple is!  I had an absolute BLAST with them on Saturday evening at the pumpkin patch.  They also took me to a really cool park in the area and I think I will have to add it to my list of locations to suggest because it was AWESOME!   The light was amazing.  We had such a blast!  Did I say that already? :)  Too bad I have to wait a whole YEAR until their wedding because I can’t wait!

Meet one of my fabulous Senior Spokesmodels for 2008-2009.  Hannah is so cool! She is so much fun that I could totally hang out with her and not even notice our age difference! We had a blast running around on Saturday morning.  Hannah is a natural model and I can’t wait for her to see these images!

I had another session at the Dallas Arboretum on Sunday.  If you haven’t ever been this is definitely the time of year to check it out.  The pumpkins are everywhere and I do mean EVERYWHERE!  I love pumpkins.

So I met up with a repeat client.  It’s so fun to photograph the same people each year.  I like really getting to know my clients.  It is especially fun when I get to watch the kids grow up before my camera.  Carson is a natural in front of the camera.  I mean who WOULDN’T be with those blue eyes.  Watch out mom and dad you will be fighting the girls off with a stick before you know it!
