This family was an absolute BLAST! They know how to have a good time together as you can see in this picture below!
Superstar!!!!!

I don’t even have the words to express how much I LOVE this couple! I love when we become friends with our clients. Molly and Taylor are so much fun and they know how to throw a party!
These are vendors that helped make their day fabulous!

I love the next two! The one on the left is Saylor’s view and the one on the right is mine. TOTALLY worth it to have two photographers. Especially when you get the guy’s point of view and the woman’s point of view. And that’s just MY point of view.

Hope I didn’t go overboard with the pictures. I just COULDN’T narrow it down anymore! I have been looking forward to this wedding for what seems like forever! Molly and Taylor are a blast. They are still in the #1 spot for most fun engagement session EVER. ;) They are going to be hard to beat! I feel like all we did was laugh. Which, is one of my favorites things to do! I can’t wait until we get together again.
Here we are at the end of the night. Molly and Taylor, Saylor and I both want to wish you all the happiness in the world. Congratulations!

Last Saturday at the Dallas Arboretum was a bit drizzly, but you wouldn’t know it, because Alison and Tim were glowing. ;) Too cheesy? Because they really were! Check out how incredibly BEAUTIFUL their small, intimate wedding at the Arboretum was:

This was such a fun session. Just hanging out with the girls! A special session to celebrate 3 big birthdays, someone is turning 5 and you’ll just have to guess the number for the other two lovely ladies.

On Thurs. evening I had the honor of capturing the last moments of a young man before he officially left the nest. Kevin was headed to begin his college career the next morning and I was truly honored to document the moment for his sweet mom. I wish him the best at OC! With a personality like the awesome one he has that boy, (I mean young man) is going to do great! Some of you may know that I used to teach high school and believe it or not not EVERY teenager is pleasant to be around, but Kevin certainly is! The moment wouldn’t have been complete without some photos of Sam, Kevin’s younger brother, he was a trooper and quite the model too! It was a joy to capture these two guys laughing and smiling and enjoying each others company. I can’t help but smile as I look at these photos. I hope that these photos will always bring a smile to Kevin and Sam’s parents faces too!

And the best of the best, most FABULOUS wedding vendors in DFW will be there too. Including Cindy Mills Photography!
We will be at Robbins Brothers this Sunday from 2pm-5pm for a bridal show. Drop by and say “Hi!” There will be unbelievable flower arrangements, amazing cakes and a bridal gown fashion show. Not to mention drawings and giveaways. Who doesn’t love FREE stuff? If you can’t make it then check back next week for a blog post about all the fun you missed!
See ya there.

Dear Blog,
I have a confession to make. This may be hard to take, but I just can’t live with myself if I don’t tell you the truth. I have been cheating on you. With Twitter. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for it to happen. It just did. Twitter is so easy going and fast and always has time for me. Twitter makes it SO easy to share photos from my iPhone and always lets me know when my friends have something to say. I know those reasons are not a good excuse, and I hope you will forgive me for neglecting you. Maybe this video with make up for it.
Love, Cindy
Here is a little video I threw together (literally) last night. I videoed and snapped about 20 mins. of Mia playing in our backyard and in about 2 hours had this sweet little video that I have been planning on making for some time now. I keep watching it over and over and every time it chokes me up. I can’t watch it without thinking about how someday I will show this to her when she has her own 4 year old. I’m not sure what it is about the black and white, bubbles and that SONG, but I am just in awe today at how BEAUTIFUL my daughter is. It makes me forget that she broke my favorite vintage camera and threw up red kool-aid in the MIDDLE of my living room carpet. When I watch this video all I see is love and happiness! I hope you enjoy it too.
Shae Chaffin: Oh, Cindy. I LOVED the video! You are so wonderfully talented! And Mia is a doll! Thanks for sharing these sweet moments! Shae
Joanna S: That's so fun! How lucky she is to have such a wonderfully talented Mommy!!
Sam: BEAUTIFUL!!
Stephanie Phillips: Girl, that got me choked up!!! You are indeed very talented!!
Oops. Well, I am a day late, but I wanted to say HAPPY 1st ANNIVERSARY to Joanna and David!
Yesterday was actually their anniversary, but I missed it…..so sorry! Better late than never. ;) Hope your first year was a wonderful one! Here’s to many more!

Friday was HOT! REALLY HOT! Brianna just contributed to the heat as she rocked out her Senior Portraits! Believe or not this awesome teen is NOT a model. Seriously! I promise! As a matter of fact she swore this was the first time she had taken any professional photos. Brianna was a natural in front of the camera was a total blast to shoot. She was up for anything and got super excited when I suggested we shoot in the lot with the tall weeds and front end loader. Now that is my type of client!
I knew we were going to have an amazing shoot when she started off the session in these awesome heels!

Thanks Brianna for being so awesome!!
First I’ll start off with my Dad…of course, since he is the first Dad I knew. My Dad is always good for a laugh and usually up for a good time. It’s fun to watch him tease Mia with the same jokes that would send me into a giggling fit when I was her age.
Here we are right before my Senior Prom:

And a couple of years ago at Thanksgiving.

And my favorite…..Dad swinging with Mia

Then, there is my Grandpa. He was very special to me. I miss him so much and even now that he has been gone for seven years this month sometimes a smell or just the right song in church will leave me with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. I don’t have very many photos to share of him since most of them are still part of my mom and dad’s photo collection, but here is one that I have and love of him holding me as a baby.

And my Dad with Granny and Grandpa. I’m not sure of the year.

Then of course, more recently some important Dad’s in my life are my husband, Saylor,

and my father-in-law, Jay.
Everyday I thank the lord that I am lucky enough to have had ALL of these wonderful Dad’s in my life! They are all special in their own ways and they have all contributed something to making me and my daughter the very lucky girls that we are!
Thank you for all you do! Happy Father’s Day!
